
DHAKA – The government plans to recruit 4,000 assistant sub-inspectors (ASIs) to the police force before the upcoming national election. According to Inspector General of Police Baharul Alam, 2,000 ASIs will be directly recruited through competitive exams, and the other 2,000 will be promoted from the ranks of constable.
This information was shared following a meeting with Public Administration Senior Secretary Md Mokhles Ur Rahman. The secretary also stated that necessary steps have been taken to ensure the elections are a “role model,” and that strict measures will be taken against anyone who shows bias.
