Three BNP-leaning teachers from Jahangirnagar University have resigned from their roles in the Jahangirnagar University Central Students’ Union (Jucsu) election, citing widespread irregularities, mismanagement, and partisan influence.

Professor Nazrul Islam, one of the resigning teachers, stated that they could not accept the election as fair due to the alleged irregularities. He also claimed that extra ballots were printed and distributed, which he feared could be secretly used to inflate votes for specific candidates.

In addition to Professor Nazrul, Professor Shamima Sultana and Professor Nahrin Islam Khan also told reporters they were stepping down from their election duties. They also mentioned that more of their colleagues are likely to follow suit.
