‘One or two advisers conspiring to bring a party to power’: Golam Parwar

Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar has alleged that “one or two advisers” of the current interim government are conspiring to bring a certain political party to power through the upcoming election, claiming this is causing instability within various layers of the administration as the polls draw nearer. Speaking at an event in Dhaka, Parwar emphasized the need for a “second revolution for good governance” and highlighted the unity forged among Islamic parties, suggesting that a continued alliance would render other political forces irrelevant. He asserted that the people are looking for change and insisted that the upcoming proportional representation (PR) election, scheduled for February, must be used to ensure every citizen’s vote is valued, based on the alliance among the Islamic parties.
